Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Primary point of contact for benefit inquiries. Assist with benefits administrative processes, plans and programs.
- Administer and support employee benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, flexible spending accounts (FSA), life and disability insurance, wellness initiatives, and leave of absence programs (FMLA, ADA, Military Leave, PWFA). Ensure accurate processing, regulatory compliance, and timely issue resolution.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries, providing guidance on plan provisions, enrollment processes, qualifying life events, and general benefits questions.
- Review and process monthly benefit carrier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment. Maintain strong relationships with external vendors and carriers.
- Process Medical Support Orders and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits administration.
- Ensure benefit-related data is accurately integrated with payroll systems and/or external vendors, maintaining synchronization for deductions and reporting.
- Evaluate current benefits processes and systems, recommending enhancements to improve efficiency, employee experience, and compliance.
- Manage the benefits arrears process, including tracking, communication, and resolution of outstanding employee contributions.
- Develop and distribute clear, engaging communication materials to promote understanding of benefits offerings and changes.
- Prepare and distribute required employer notices (e.g., COBRA, ACA, HIPAA) in accordance with legal timelines and requirements.
- Maintain organized and secure employee benefits files. Ensure timely and accurate updates to payroll systems for benefit-related deductions.
- Assist with the processing of unemployment claims, including gathering required documentation, responding to agency inquiries, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Qualifications: What you need to bring
- 2+ years' experience in employee benefits administration required.
- Bachelors in Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.
- Must have basic knowledge of all federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements relating to employee benefit programs.
- Must have proven abilities to process secure data feeds.
- Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing with employees, vendors and coworkers.
- Must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Pay Range: $23.00 - $26.00 Hourly
